- Vegetable Tart – Sebze KekThis is a tasty vegetable tart/cake that I have translated from Yemekevi.tv. A nice alternative for a light lunch or supper. Would be lovely served with a salad on a warm summers day.The post Vegetable Tart – Sebze Kek appeared first on Turkish Cooking. […]

Earth Laughs in Flowers
A Housewife’s guide on Living in Turkey.
Welcome to my blog, my name is Kerry Arslan and 7 years ago I started coming to Turkey on holiday. The first place I ever visited was the beautiful town of Turgutreis, Bodrum. I loved the town, the people and country and returned the following year for another holiday. That year I met the man who would later become my husband. I continued to holiday in Turgutreis and visit my husband. In the winter we would holiday in Istanbul and in the summer we would stay on the Bodrum Peninsula and travel to my Husbands home Dikili, Izmir.
In 2009 I married my Husband and in 2010 I moved to Turkey to start our life together then in 2011 we welcomed our son into the world. Little did I know back in 2005 that, that holiday would be the changing of my life, meeting my partner, starting our family and Living in Turkey. It has been an exciting journey and long may it continue.
I decided to start my blog to keep my family and friends up to date on my life here and to share with others all I learned along the way and my experiences of life here in Turkey. I learned a lot from other blogs and forums on Turkey and about coming to live here I felt it was only fair that I gave back and help those who are starting out on their journey to live in Turkey or for those who just want to learn more about this lovely country.
My blog has a mix of helpful articles, personal experiences and my own ramblings. Through writing this blog I have met some wonderful people and fellow bloggers who you can check out on the blog round up.
Earth Laughs in Flowers is a blog about me and my life, but I also want it to be somewhere people can come and tell their stories and share their knowledge of Turkey and life here.
